New Client, Blank File.
Not Anymore.
Digital contracts, IRS authorization forms, and identity verification are all handled the moment a client is onboarded, so your team opens a structured file instead of a blank inbox.
Your front door, minus the paperwork.
Intake is TaxVero’s front-door process for turning a new client relationship into a working case file without manual setup. The moment a client is onboarded, the platform sends a secure digital intake link that walks them through confirming their details, signing engagement letters and IRS authorization forms (8821/2848), and completing identity verification - all without a phone call or paper form.
What used to take a practitioner an intake call, chasing signatures, and manual document handling now happens as one connected step.
- Confirming client details - individual, spouse & businesses
- Engagement letter e-signature
- IRS Form 8821 & 2848 authorization
- Identity verification - selfie & government ID
New Client Onboarding Shouldn't Be a Bottleneck
Every case starts the same way: gathering information and collecting signatures from a client before any resolution work can begin.
The Signature Chase Problem
Sending contracts and IRS forms manually, via email, fax, or post, delays case start by days before any resolution work begins.
Scattered Starting Points
Signed contracts, IRS forms, and identity documents arrive scattered across emails and physical mail, none of it tracked in one place.
The Blank File Delay
Without a structured onboarding flow, practitioners spend the first days of a case chasing missing signatures and documents instead of working the case.
Nothing Connects Automatically
Manually collected signatures and client details don't connect to the case. Information gets re-entered later, adding another point where things fall through the cracks.

Signed Cases From Day One
Signature Chasing Becomes a Thing of the Past
Clients sign their contracts and IRS forms on their own time. Practitioners spend the first conversation on strategy, not paperwork.
Nothing Gets Re-Typed
Client details and signed documents are captured once and connected to the case directly, the same single-source model that carries through forms downstream.
Signatures & Verification Tracked in Real Time
The firm can see exactly where the client is in the signing flow, who has signed, who hasn't, and what's still pending, before the case timeline depends on it.
Structured Intake vs The Manual Starting Point
Everything You Need to Know About Intake
Intake is the process of turning a new client relationship into a signed, verified case file without manual chasing. Firm staff create an intake, select the documents to include, and send the client a secure link. The client confirms their details, signs engagement letters and IRS authorization forms, and completes identity verification - all in one self-serve flow.
No. The intake flow helps you collect the client's signed Form 2848 or Form 8821, which can then be filed with the IRS to establish authorization on the Centralized Authorization File. Once that CAF authorization is active, TaxVero can pull the client's transcripts on your behalf.
Yes. The client receives a secure unique link and completes the entire signing and verification flow independently, on their own schedule, from any device.
Firm staff select from available engagement letter templates and optionally include IRS Form 8821 and/or Form 2848. The client signs each included document as part of their intake flow.
TaxVero's intake flow includes identity verification before the client proceeds to signing. Clients confirm their identity as part of the intake process, giving your firm a verified signature trail from the start of the engagement.
Once the client completes signing and verification and the firm approves the intake, staff can convert it into a new client record or link it to an existing one - all within TaxVero.
Signed documents are stored against the intake record and accessible from the intake detail page. Once converted to a client, they carry forward into the client file.
Stop Chasing Signatures. Start Cases Already Signed.
TaxVero’s intake turns a new client relationship into a signed, verified case file - engagement letters signed, IRS forms authorized, identity confirmed - before your team opens the file.
